This was the photo on the front page of the Charlotte Observer today: a man wading down the main “street” of Dauphin Island, Alabama.
Contrast this to the photo I took from the back deck of our rental house there this past summer:
Hard to believe the place I spent my summer vacation was pretty much dead center in the path of Ivan. I hope everyone’s okay.
