Ummm… to drink, I mean.

This Cognitive Daily post took me two days to write. Why? Partially because this is difficult material, but partly because my brain wasn’t quite screwed on straight. Please read it, if for nothing else than to validate all that hard work. I won’t even complain if it’s indexed by Google.

Why is so much of the stuff they teach in school so boring and irrelevant? Why can’t they just teach me the stuff I need to know to get a good job, and, like, a nice car? Fisking of the above sentiments here.

Now Google’s “freeloading” off the hard labor of authors. If Google’s undergoing the expensive, labor-intensive project of scanning millions of books isn’t hard work, I’d like to see what the AAP thinks “hard work” is.
