Don’t you hate it when, after 45 minutes of putting up with the obnoxiously loud and vulgar conversation at the table next to you in the coffee shop, you finally decide to leave, only to have the offending parties follow you out the exit not 10 seconds later?

If:book has a great summary of a recent panel discussion on the Google Book Search lawsuits. Some great insights — most importantly, that the publishers aren’t so much worried about the possibility that their books will be found online, but that Google will eventually parlay the Book Search product into an eBook program, undercutting publishers 4 or 5 years down the line.

Ars Technica has a great article on historical computer market share. Perhaps most fascinating of all is that Apple, for all its influence, never even came close to leading market share — usually it was a distant third.
