Things your kids say that make you feel old

So, my thirteen year-old daughter is excited about the new iPods. The new Nanos come in colors, and the new Shuffle is just awesome.

“It’s tiny,” she told her mother last evening before dinner, “And it’s got a little clip to attach it to your pocket!”

In case you, like Greta, haven’t managed to see Apple’s media blitz on the new iPods, here’s a photo:

“Yeah, it’s the size of a matchbook,” I said.

“What’s a matchbook?” Nora asked.

    Ouch. That does hurt. Did you know lots of gas stations don’t give out matches anymore even if you buy cigarettes? I find it heresy.
