Great puzzler, Dave! First, I’ll assume this is from a frequency list, and you’re giving us the top words. Second, given the presence of the word ‘john’ in the context of all the other words, I’d guess it’s from a work about prostitution.
Amazon provides concordance lists. I looked at the top seller for prostitution, Brothel : Mustang Ranch and Its Women, but that concordance list is way off.
Just came back from futzing at Amazon for 10 minutes. Damn, this is tough. Am I on the right track?
