Ugh

I have to say, I don’t like it. I suppose whatever we build is going to be a giant bullseye for terrorists, but I just think the original design was a lot more inspired. The first 20 stories are going to be practically windowless, the better to withstand truck bombs. Why not just slap down a giant concrete block and be done with it?

At least it’s still reasonably big, but still, this is supposed to be the statement to make to Osama? “You terrorists! You won’t scare us! We’ll just build a fort so ugly that no one will want to work there! Just try to kill innocent civilians when not a soul will want to go within half a mile of our new ugly monument! Take that, terrorists!”
