And can we just drop this bullshit about the military “defending our freedom?” Few of us were alive the last time our military went to war over anything even remotely related to the freedom of Americans. Okay, World War II I can buy; Hitler and the Japanese were clearly a threat to the US. But Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Bosnia, Somalia, and both Iraq wars? There isn’t even a tenuous connection with our freedom. George Bush did far more to damage the liberty of Americans than Saddam Hussein could have imagined in his wettest dreams.
