The CSM has an article about how hard it is for kids these days to find decent clothes to wear (via Hit and run).

I don’t know… I just don’t know. I seem to remember seeing girls in string bikinis, tight T-shirts, spaghetti straps, and mini-skirts back in the “good old days” of the 1980s. 20 years before, in the “good old” 1960s, girls were burning their bras, nudity was cool, and pot was the subject of pop-music songs. Head back to the “good old” 1930s, and “evil” jazz singers crooned about “cocaine” and “flying high with some guy in the sky.” Fortunately, back then the “good old” 1890s weren’t lost to memory, when deviant pedophiles like Oscar Wilde were dealt with post-haste.

So, sure, it’s hard to find decent clothes to wear today, especially with online outfits like Victoria’s Secret peddling their filth every which way. Of course, you can also find plenty of modest apparel at other online outfits like Lands’ End, but that wouldn’t make much of a story for CSM, now, would it?

So what’s the point, then? That kids have more temptations these days, and therefore they dress like tramps? But aren’t the parents the ones buying the clothes? Are parents so vulnerable to the lure of the InterWeb that they can’t resist clothing little girls in see-through teddies and spiked heels? That’s right, it’s all technology’s fault. First technology gave us evolution, and now it’s given us naughty clothes. Oh, for the good old days, when technology didn’t go around messing things up all the time. It makes me so angry, I just want to -
