Unfortunately, here is what I am doing right now. Somehow the picture came out upside-down, but that is appropriate to the situation. I’m trying to put on a game face but really I’m totally pissed.

Tomorrow, we are supposed to be staying in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Somehow I made a reservation for a hotel in Saint John’s, Newfoundland! That is about 1,000 miles away (or 1,600 km if you’re in Canada). And my reservation was non-refundable.

Fortunately I was able to convince the nice lady at Orbitz that it was an honest mistake and got a refund. Phew!

Enjoyed the exhibition here. Crazy stuff involving light and three-dimensional illusions.

The exhibition was by James Turrell — took over the entire central gallery of the museum with a really stunning light show that involved several different visual illusions. Here’s a cool video from the Guggenheim web site:

This was a pretty good brownie. Not sure if it was worth the 1.8 mile walk to get it though. At Baked in Brooklyn.
