Congratulations to my writer-friends!

Books aplenty:

High school buddy Anne Fernald’s book Virginia Woolf: Feminism and the Reader is out now (after an arduous production journey). Congratulations, Anne!

College friend John Scalzi has been honored with the Campbell Award for best new science fiction writer. His book Old Man’s War was third in voting for the prestigious Hugo Award. Congratulations, John!

Fellow Scienceblogger Chris Mooney’s book The Republican War on Science is out in mass-market paperback, complete with several updated chapters reflecting recent developments. I’m on the list to get a review copy of this one, so you’ll probably hear more about it, either here or on Cognitive Daily. Congratulations, Chris!

Davidson friend Suzanne Churchill’s new book on the little magazine Others is out as well. I attended the book party this past weekend and had a peek at it–fascinating stuff! Congratulations, Suzanne!

  1. Anne says:

Thanks, Dave! That’s very sweet. And, did you see–Megan Kelso (GHS ’85) has a graphic novel out this summer, too: the Squirrel Mother. (Starred reviews aplenty…)
